Daryl Watts | PWHL

Daryl Watts is a left winger who plays with the PWHL’s Toronto Sceptres. She began her PWHL career with the Ottawa Charge who drafted her in the 6th round, 32nd overall. Following her first season in the league, where Watts finished third on the Charge in scoring with 17 points in 24 games, Watts signed as a free agent with the Toronto Sceptres.

Prior to the NCAA, Watts won a pair of silver medals as a member of Canada’s U-18 national team. With Boston College and Wisconsin, Watts was named an All-American four times, and Patty Kazmaier Award finalist four times. In 2018, Watts was named a First Team All-American, the NCAA Rookie of the Year, and won the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in the NCAA.

Upon turning pro in 2023, Watts signed a record breaking contract worth $150,000 annually with the PHF’s Toronto Six. At the time, it was the largest contract for a professional women’s hockey player in history. With the PHF’s Toronto Six that season, Watts helped the Six capture their first ever Isobel Cup.

When the PWHL was announced, Watts was drafted in the sixth round, 32nd overall by PWHL Ottawa. She signed a one-year deal with the Ottawa Charge. In the league’s first offseason, Watts signed a one-year deal with the Toronto Sceptres becoming one of the first players in league history to change teams via free agency. Watts made her Canadian senior national team debut during the 2024-2025 season representing Canada at the Rivalry Series.
