Dominika Laskova | PWHL

Dominika Laskova is a professional women’s hockey player from Praha, Czechia. Laskova, a defender, currently plays for the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire.

Laskova played domestically in Czechia for HC Slavia Praha before coming to North America to play her NCAA hockey with Merrimack College. Prior to Merrimack, Laskova represented Czechia at three U-18 World Championships winning bronze in 2014. That year, Laskova was part of a historic Czechia roster that won promotion to the top division of the World Championships.

After Merrimack, Laskova joined the PHF’s Toronto Six for the 2022-23 season. That year Laskova helped Toronto win the Isobel Cup. She also played an integral role in winning back-to-back bronze medals with Czechia in 2022 and 2023, their first ever medals at the World Championships.

At the inaugural PWHL Draft, Laskova became the first member of the PHF selected when Montreal picked her 19th overall. Laskova signed a two-year contract with Montreal but played only seven games in her first PWHL season. Laskova required surgery after suffering a lower-body injury. The injury would cause Laskova to miss the majority of the 2024-25 season as well, although she returned in time for the 2025 World Championships hosted in Czechia.

Dominika Laskova remains a member of the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire.
