Hannah Miller | PWHL

Hannah Miller is a center from North Vancouver, British Columbia. The 5-foot-9 forward was selected in the 13th round, 74th overall in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft by the Toronto Sceptres. Early in Miller’s PWHL career, she’s established herself as a consistent forward capable of playing all three positions with the Sceptres.

Prior to joining the NCAA Miller won back-to-back U-18 World Championship gold medals as a member of Team Canada in 2013 and 2014. Miller played her collegiate hockey at St. Lawrence University where she totalled 123 points in 124 games.

Miller turned pro in 2018-2019 playing one season in the CWHL with Shenzhen’s KRS Vanke Rays. Following the dissolution of the CWHL, Miller remained with Shenzhen for the next four seasons winning two Russian league titles and captaining Shenzhen in her final season with the club in 2022-2023. While playing for the Chinese club, Miller acquired her dual passport allowing her to represent China internationally in IIHF competition. She did just that at the 2022 Olympic Games as well as the 2022 World Championships where she helped China earn promotion from the Division 1B World Championships. Miller was named the tournament’s Best Forward for her efforts.

Selected by PWHL Toronto in the inaugural 2023 Draft, Miller went on to establish herself as a scoring line player for the Sceptres, earning herself a contract extension heading into the PWHL’s second season.
