Laura Stacey is a professional women’s hockey player from Kleinburg, Ontario. She currently plays for the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire.
A 5-foot-10 power forward, Stacey won gold and silver with Canada’s U-18 team at the 2011 and 2012 U-18 World Championships.
Collegiately, Stacey spent four seasons at Dartmouth College. In her senior NCAA season at Dartmouth, Stacey captained the Big Green.
At the pro level, Stacey joined the Brampton Thunder following the NCAA. She was the CWHL’s Rookie of the Year following the 2016-17 season when she scored 24 points in 20 games for the Thunder. Her performance in the CWHL was enough to earn Stacey her first spot on Canada’s senior national team.
Stacey made her IIHF senior national debut for Canada at the 2017 World Championships winning silver. Since then she’s won multiple World Championship and Olympic gold medals playing for Canada.
Professionally, Stacey won the Clarkson Cup with the Markham Thunder in 2018. Following the dissolution of the CWHL, she joined the PWHPA. Stacey stayed in the PWHPA for four years, suiting up for Team Adidas in the final year of the Dream Gap Tour. Following the launch of the PWHL in 2023, Stacey was one of PWHL Montreal’s inaugural signings. Stacey signed a three-year contract with PWHL Montreal. In the league’s first season, was one of Montreal’s assistant captains. Laura Stacey remains a member of the Montreal Victoire.
