Lina Ljungblom | PWHL

Lina Ljungblom is a professional women’s ice hockey player from Skovde, Sweden. Ljungblom currently plays for the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire.

Ljungblom grew up playing boys’ hockey for Skövde in Sweden. She represented Sweden three times at the U-18 World Championships including a silver medal win in 2018.

Joining the SDHL for the 2019-2020 season, Ljungblom played for HV71. The following year, she joined MoDo where she’d spend four seasons. As a member of MoDo, Ljungblom was named a Swedish All-Star in 2023, and was the SDHL’s MVP and Best Forward for the 2023-2024 season.

Internationally, Ljungblom is a core member of Sweden’s senior national team representing Tre Kronor at both the Olympic Games and World Championships.

Ljungblom was picked with the final selection of the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft. Montreal picked Ljungblom knowing she would be unable to play in the 2024 season. The power forward was still under contract in Sweden. The pick also caused the PWHL to change their draft rules to ensure players still under contract could not declare or be selected. After playing out her final season under contract in Sweden, Ljungblom signed a three-year contract with the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire. Lina Ljungblom is currently a member of the Victoire.
