Nicole Hensley | PWHL

Nicole Hensley is a professional women’s hockey player from Lakewood, Colorado. She is currently a member of the PWHL’s Minnesota Frost. Hensley was a second round pick, 12th overall in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft.

Collegiately, Hensley spent four seasons playing for Lindenwood University. In 123 career NCAA games, Hensley posted a .921 save percentage and 2.98 GAA.

Internationally, Hensley served as a member of USA’s senior national team for several seasons. Hensley won both Olympic and World Championship gold while backstopping Team USA. At the 2022 World Championships, Hensley was named Best Goaltender.

In 2018-2019, Hensley turned professional with the NWHL’s Buffalo Beauts. She spent the next three seasons playing with the PWHPA including as a member of Team Sonnet in the Dream Gap Tour’s final season.

When the PWHL was announced, Hensley entered the draft and was selected 12th overall by PWHL Minnesota. She signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Frost and helped Minnesota win the inaugural Walter Cup.
