Taylor Heise | PWHL

Taylor Heise is a professional women’s hockey player from Lake City, Minnesota. Heise was the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft. After the draft, Heise signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Frost.

Prior to college, Heise won three straight U-18 World Championship gold medals with Team USA. Heise was tournament MVP, Best Forward, and a tournament All-Star at the 2018 U-18 World Championships. Heise played her Minnesota high school hockey at Red Wing High. In her final season, Heise received the coveted Ms. Hockey Minnesota award as the state’s top women’s hockey player.

At the NCAA level, Heise played for the University of Minnesota. She was twice a First Team All-American and Patty Kazmaier finalist. As well, Heise won the WCHA’s Offensive Player of the Year Award twice.

At the senior national level, Heise won her first gold medal at the World Championships in 2023. In 2022, making her World Championship debut, Heise led the tournament in scoring with 18 points. Heise was the 2022 World Championships MVP, Best Forward and a tournament All-Star.

In her rookie professional season, Heise dealt with injuries. She helped the Minnesota Frost win the first ever Walter Cup title. After a strong playoff, Heise was named the Ilona Kloss Playoff MVP.
