Tereza Vanisova | PWHL

Tereza Vanisova is a professional women’s hockey player from Strakonice, Czechia. She currently plays for the PWHL’s Ottawa Charge.

Vanisova predominantly played boys’ hockey growing up in Czechia. She represented her nation three times at the U-18 World Championships, including claiming a historic bronze medal in 2014. She made her senior national team debut in 2013 spending more than a decade as a staple for Czechia. She helped Czechia to a bronze medal at the top division of the World Championships in 2023.

In 2016-17, Vanisova joined the University of Maine at the NCAA level. After four seasons with Maine, Vanisova turned pro in 2020-2021. She spent three seasons in the NWHL and PHF, winning three Isobel Cup titles. In 2023, Vanisova scored the overtime winning goal for the Toronto Six in the Isobel Cup final.

In the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft, Vanisova was the 42nd overall pick of PWHL Montreal. At the 2024 PWHL Trade Deadline, Vanisova was traded to PWHL Ottawa in exchange for Amanda Boulier. Tereza Vanisova is currently a member of the Ottawa Charge.
