Dub Hockey is run by a group of dedicated and experienced women’s hockey writers, podcasters, and creators.

Ian Kennedy, Editor/Writer
Ian Kennedy is a long time women’s hockey writer and member of the PHWA’s Women’s Chapter. Kennedy became the founding editor and manager of The Hockey News’ Women’s hockey site in 2023. Prior to The Hockey News, Kennedy wrote for Yahoo, the Globe & Mail, The Guardian, Toronto Star, and other publications. He has two books out, “Ice In Their Veins: Women’s Relentless Pursuit of the Puck,” and “On Account of Darkness: Shining Light on Race and Sport.”

Cee Benwell, Writer / Toronto Reporter
Cee Benwell is a player, coach, and supporter of women’s hockey who has years of direct experience working with and sharing knowledge of the game. She played university hockey at Bishop’s University and coached at several levels before focusing on writing and broadcasting. Currently, she hosts the Puck Drop Podcast which includes interviews and insight into the PWHL, and has a YouTube channel GameDay Hockey that features all things PWHL and women’s hockey. She also writes for The Hockey News and several media outlets.

Chris Sinclair, Writer / Ottawa Reporter
Chris Sinclair has been passionate about women’s hockey since Canada’s iconic gold medal win in 2002. As the host of Rinkside Rundown, he brings insightful interviews with players, coaches and game-changers shaping the sport. In addition to hosting the podcast, Chris has been covering the Ottawa Charge since their inaugural season, writing for The Hockey News, along with providing in-depth coverage at the junior and collegiate levels.

Ellen Bond, Photographer
Ellen grew up with a passion for hockey. Unable to play competitive hockey because she was a girl, Ellen played road hockey, and finally at age 13 was able to play on a real team. She played varsity hockey at McMaster University and at Queen’s University and after graduating played for various rep teams in Peterborough winning multiple Ontario titles. Now, her passion for the sport has been focused on photography. Ellen shot PWHL action for The Hockey News as well as at the IIHF World Championships.
