Jill Saulnier | PWHL

Jill Saulnier is a professional women’s hockey player from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She currently plays for the PWHL’s Boston Fleet.

Prior to her collegiate career, Saulnier won silver and gold at the U-18 World Championships as a member of Team Canada. From there, Saulnier went on to spend four seasons playing NCAA women’s hockey at Cornell University.

At Cornell, Saulnier totalled 195 points in 125 career games. She was a First Team All-American, and top three Patty Kazmaier finalist in 2014.

In her senior season at Cornell, Saulnier made her senior national team debut with Canada at the 2015 World Championships winning silver. From there, Saulnier turned pro with the CWHL’s Calgary Inferno. She spent four seasons in the CWHL with Calgary and the Montreal Canadiennes winning the 2016 Clarkson Cup.

Internationally, Saulnier represented Canada at four World Championships and two Olympic Games. She won her only World Championship gold in 2021, and followed it up with Olympic gold in 2022.

At the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft, Saulnier was the 7th round pick, 40th overall of PWHL New York. She signed a two-year deal with New York. In the PWHL’s second season, Saulnier was traded by the New York Sirens to the Boston Fleet in exchange for Taylor Girard. Saulnier is currently a member of the PWHL’s Boston Fleet.
