Season-By-Season Montreal Victoire History

2024 PWHL Season

PWHL Montreal selected Erin Ambrose with their first ever draft pick. The team began their inaugural season playing at Verdun Auditorium, but soon outgrew the venue. The team also played games at Place Bell in their first season, which would become their playoff home. During the inaugural season Montreal played a record setting game at the Bell Centre drawing a world record 21,105 fans. The mark was the largest attendance to ever witness a professional women’s hockey game. At the trade deadline, Montreal dealt forward Tereza Vanisova to Ottawa in exchange for defender Amanda Boulier. Montreal finished second overall in the 2024 season with a 10-3-5-6 record. In the opening round of the PWHL playoffs, Montreal suffered a sweep at the hands of PWHL Boston. Erin Ambrose and Marie-Philip Poulin were named PWHL First Team All-Stars. Ambrose was also named the PWHL’s inaugural Defender of the Year. Rookie Maureen Murphy won the PWHL’s humanitarian award, the Hockey For All Award.

2024-25 PWHL Season

The Montreal Victoire selected defender Cayla Barnes with their first round pick ahead of the 2024-25 season. The team also made the official move to Place Bell in Laval as their permanent home rink.
