Only one deal happened on the PWHL’s 2025 Trade Deadline. It sent right shot defender Anna Kjellbin to the Toronto Sceptres, with forward Kaitlin Willoughby going to the Montreal Victoire.
Kjellbin, who captains the Swedish national team, appeared in 18 games this season with the Montreal Victoire recording one assist. Kjellbin provides Toronto with depth on their blueline after the team lost reserve blueliner Lauren Bernard to the New York Sirens.
Willoughby has no points in 20 games with Toronto this season. Willoughby played 23 games with Toronto last season recording a single assist. After not being selected in the inaugural PWHL Draft, Willoughby was signed as a free agent by Toronto in 2023. She played one season in the CWHL with the Calgary Inferno before playing with the PWHPA for four years. Prior to turning pro, the 29-year-old was twice a Canada West All-Star and won a pair of Universaide silver medals with Canada.
Kjellbin was picked 35th overall by the Montreal Victoire in the 2024 PWHL Draft. She spent 15 seasons in the SDHL and was a 2023 and 2024 All-Star. Playing for Lulea Kjellbin won five SDHL titles.
