The PWHL made it official, the first expansion franchise in league history will be Vancouver, British Columbia.
In front of a crowd at the Pacific National Exhibition, the PWHL announced that Vancouver would get a franchise in time for the 2025-2026 season. The new team will be the primary tenant at the Pacific Coliseum. The Coliseum is the former home to the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.
