Hockey East named their 2024-25 Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team this week headlined by a pair of Swedish players, with Northeastern leading the way with three players.
Three unanimous selections include UConn forward Claire Murdoch, Northeastern defender Tuva Kandell and Northeastern netminder Lisa Jonsson.

The third member of the All-Rookie team from Northeastern is forward Eloise Caron, while Boston College teammates Lauren Glaser and Olivia Maffeo round out the roster.
Hockey East also named a group of major award winners.

Boston University grad student Tamara Giaquinto was named the Army ROTC Defender of the Year. She’s the first Boston University defender to earn the award since Kasey Boucher in 2011-12. Providence graduate Hannah Johnson was named the conference’s best defensive forward, and Merrimack grad Raice Szott was named Hockey East’s sportsmanship award recipient. The conference also announced their top scorer as Providence’s Reichen Kirchmair, and Boston College goalie Grace Campbell.

The 2025 Hockey East Women’s Tournament begins tonight with two Opening Round games. Holy Cross vists at Vermont at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN+ while Merrimack travels to New Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. on NESN. Winners will advance to the quarterfinals on March 1 to take on either UConn or Boston University.by a pair of Swedish players, with Northeastern leading the way with three players.
