Post University’s Julia Wysocki was named the NEWHA Player of the Year recently. Wysocki is the first player in Post University history to win the award.

This season Julia Wysocki, an Argyle, Texas product, led all NEWHA women’s hockey players in scoring with 17 goals and 26 points.

Her .236 shooting percentage was tops in the league and she was also among face-off leaders.

The 23-year-old finishes her NCAA career with 54 points in 135 games.

Two of her Post University teammates also won major NEWHA awards. Hannah Saunders was named NEWHA’s Goaltender of the Year. She posted a 1.92 GAA and .941 save percentage across 26 games. She also recorded seven shutouts. Forward Rowyn Ringor led all rookies in scoring with 25 points to earn Rookie of Year.

Maggie Korneta of Franklin Pierce was named Defender of the Year. Long Island University’s Kelly Nash was named Coach of the Year
