The PWHL has announced a two-game suspension to Boston Fleet forward Kelly Babstock for slew-footing. Babstock was assessed a match penalty Wednesday against Toronto for slew-footing with only three seconds remaining in the game.
According to the PWHL, Babstock “used her upper and lower body simultaneously to drive Sceptres forward Jesse Compher backwards, causing her to fall dangerously to the ice.”
In a separate incident, Montreal Victoire defender Erin Ambrose was handed a $250 fine for a cross check against Minnesota Frost forward Denisa Křižova. It’s Ambrose’s first supplmental discipline. The blueliner is the reigning PWHL Defender of the Year.
