Laila Edwards, Casey O’Brien, and Caroline Harvey are forming an all-Wisconsin Top-Three finalist group for the 2025 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. The honor is annually given to the top player in NCAA Division 1 women’s hockey.
It’s the first time since 2013 that one school has swept the top three finalists for the award. In 2013, the University of Minnesota had all three finalists, with the award eventually going to Amanda Kessel.
Casey O’Brien returns to the top three after being a finalist last season when the award was won by Cornell’s Izzy Daniell.
Edwards ranked third in country in goals per game (.79) and second in goals (30), and tied for second in nation in points per game (1.71) and total points (65).
Harvey lead defenders nationally in points per game (1.53), goals per game (.42) and assists per game (1.11).
O’Brien was tops in the nation in points per game (2.18) and assists per game (1.53).
