The NCAA national Goaltender of the Year Award is down to three finalists. The Women’s Hockey Commissioners Association announced that Minnesota-Duluth’s Eve Gascon, Cornell’s Annelies Bergmann, and Wisconsin’s Ava McNaughton are the three finalists for the 2025 award.

The three finalists remain in the NCAA playoffs with Gascon and McNaughton vying for a WCHA crown and Cornell hoping to win an ECAC title.

Last year’s award was won by Clarkson alumni Michelle Pasiechynk. Ottawa Charge goalie Gwyneth Philips won the 2023 award, while Boston Fleet netminder Aerin Frankel won the 2021 and 2022 awards.

This year’s finalists are all in their second season in the NCAA. Bergmann was named the ECAC Goaltender of the Year posting a 1.37 GAA and .939 save percentage.

Gascon posted a 1.85 GAA and .943 save percentage and also made the most saves of the finalists turning aside 826 shots this season..

McNaughton was recently named to USA’s national team for the 2025 World Championships in Czechia. She led the NCAA in GAA at 1.13 and save percentage at .949 and also won more games than any other netminder with 31 this season.
