The WCHA has named their 2024-25 women’s hockey All-WCHA and All-Rookie teams. The teams were dominated by University of Wisconsin Badgers players including four on the First All-WCHA Team.

Wisconsin’s Casey O’Brien, Laila Edwards, Kirsten Simms, and Caroline Harvey headlined the first team. O’Brien is a top PWHL Draft prospect this season and in Wisconsin’s opening round of the WCHA playoffs, she became the school’s all-time leading scorer. To hit the mark, O’Brien broke the school record previously held by Hilary Knight. O’Brien led all NCAA women’s hockey players in scoring this season. Founding out the All-WCHA First Team were Ohio State defender Emma Peschel and Minnesota-Duluth netminder Eve Gascon.

The All-WCHA Second Team included another member of the nation’s top five in scoring, Minnesota’s Abbey Murphy. She is joined up front on the Second Team by Wisconsin’s Lacey Eden and Ohio State’s Joy Dunne. The trio are all members of USA’s senior national team. Three blueliners were named to the Second Team after a tie in voting. The Second Team defenders were Minnesota’s Sydney Morrow, and Minnesota-Duluth’s Tova Henderson and Nina Jobst-Smith. In net to round out the Second Team is Wisconsin’s Ava McNaughton.

Joining the All-WCHA Third Team were Minnesota-Duluth’s Olivia Mobley and Clara Van Wieren, Ohio State’s Jocelyn Amos, Minnesota’s Chloe Primerano, Wisconsin’s Laney Potter, and St. Cloud State’s Sanni Ahola.

The WCHA’s All-Rookie team included Primerano and Minnesota teammate Gracie Graham, St. Cloud State netminder Emilia Krykko, and forwards Caitlin Kraemer (Minnesota-Duluth), Jordyn Petrie (Ohio State), and Maggie Scannell (Wisconsin).
